Every year my brothers, buddies and a few dads go somewhere for March Madness. For those who are unfamiliar with March Madness, it is when mens' college basketball has its yearly tournament to determine who is the national champion. It is by far the best sporting event there is, and it spans a few weeks. I even used to cut class in high school to watch games all day. Getting back to the story, over the years we have celebrated March Madness in Reno, Tahoe, and my dad's cabin. The pictures below are from a trip to the cabin in Twain Hart, CA. My friends Jordan, Joel, Scott, and Charles were the only ones who wanted to get some fresh air and a break from the games. With the truck loaded up with guns, motorbikes, and beer, we had everything we needed.

We brought skeet to shoot with the shot-guns. It is so fun; one guy throws the skeet while the other guy tries to shoot it in mid-air. You can go to a shooting range to do this, but it was really fun doing it in the mountains. I'm throwing for Jordan in the picture above.
At one point, while we were shooting at a bunch of cans and other crap we brought to shoot, I hear what sounds like an automatic rifle. I turn and Jordan is double-fisting his handgun and mine. He wasn't really aiming at anything, he was just enjoying the moment. After he went through both rounds in a matter of seconds, he turned and looked at us. His face said it all: that was a rush. Then each of us took turns double-fisting the handguns. It was gun-fever!

After skeet shooting, pretending we were Rambo with the handguns, and shooting the rifles at long range, we took the motorbikes out for a spin. I call them motorbikes because they are not dirt bikes, nor are the motorcycles. They are some silly fat bikes with the governors removed. We had a blast riding these down a logging road that was all mud, puddles and snow. Then we took them through a huge puddle, more like a small pond. It was cold, but so much fun. The puddle was back alongside the highway, so the locals got a good look at some crazy city boys riding through the snow melt. It was by far 3 of the best hours I've had in my adult life. You should do it sometime...
