Tree Fort- Stage II Complete

The floor (including the trapdoor) and the ladder have been built. I wasn't sure if the whole 'climb up through the inside of the tree' idea was going to work, but it did. Moses climbed up it, but it was a little tricky in a few places as he had to lean back really far while still climbing. I need to install some footholds to assist him, but I was impressed by his climbing skills for a soon to be 4 year old.
I want to get started on the walls and roof so I've been trying to find some wood, even checking Craigslist, but no success as of yet. I am determined not to buy any wood to complete this project. I do remember taking wood from home development sites in my youth, as I also remember getting caught and in trouble by the police.  Taking wood now wouldn't be a good idea for man in his 30's so I was thinking about asking the builders for scrap wood. I also need to figure out the best descent for the zip-line.

Thanksgiving is coming soon, so also on the to-do list is trying to catch a wild turkey. I almost caught one the other morning as I went to my truck. There was a flock of them looking at my truck and I kept hearing something hitting my truck. I thought one was stuck under the truck, but there wasn't. As I went around the drivers' side I saw the tail of a turkey at the front of my truck. As I got closer I realized that the turkey was looking at the reflection of itself in the chrome of the bumper and pecking at itself thinking it was a mating partner? Jack Hana would have been thrilled at the site of such unusual behavior. I on the other hand made a lunge for the turkey, but was given away by another turkey who spotted me. Hopefully we can come up with a plan to catch one otherwise Thanksgiving just wouldn't be the same.
