Beer Is Ready!

The beer is good; this was a huge relief after the time, money and energy that went into making my first successful batch of beer. It is one of my favorite beers I've had. I know I'm a little biased since I made it, but it is so rich and smooth. My wife, who hates beer, thought it was drinkable (I think this is a compliment).

To the only negative part of the beer: I over-carbonated the beer so it takes 15 minutes for the head to go down. It is almost a case of 'blue-balls' as once you open a good cold beer, all you want to do is drink it. I have to wait and wait and wait... maybe the wait is what makes it taste so good!

We headed up to my parent's cabin in Twain Hart, CA only to leave within a few hours after the power went out on the whole mountain. We at least did some sledding down the driveway, so all wasn't lost. After we went inside I opened my first bottle of beer and then the power went out.
